Really? I am using:
[phil@nori ~]$ uname -a
Linux nori 2.6.18-1.2798.fc6 #1 SMP Mon Oct 16 14:39:22 EDT 2006 x86_64
x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
[phil@nori ~]$ 


Are you using an i686 kernel?

I take it you can suspend in X and resume properly as well?

Were there any other steps you had to take?
