Is the fan running at full speed? If it starts running slow this can happen. The speed may not be obvious, but often bios can report the speed it is running. It also may start making some noise as bearings wear out. In another post you show the fan as running at abt 2700. This may be OK, and it may not. What has been the normal fan speed in the past? If this is a fan that should be running at about 4000 - 5000 rpm then it needs replaced. If it normally runs at 2700 (some do) then it is fine. 2. Have you checked the thermal grease/pad between the CPU and the heat sink? If that starts to lose its conductivity the CPU will start to heat up. A little new grease there is cheaper than a new CPU.
I gave in: went over to tigerdirect.com and bought a new (supposedly) better cpu fan. The current oem fan was already loud, adding inefficiency just sucks. To the bin with it. Wil have to no compute any large harshes for some time.
