Been happily using Firefox for a long time on both XP and FC5, but
this talk of Seamonkey and Firefox 2 has me wondering....

1) what's the difference between Seamonkey and Mozilla, both seem to
use the Mozilla engine

SeaMonkey is the community branch of Mozilla Suite. When Mozilla foundation decided to concentrate on Firefox and Thunderbird instead of the suite, a group of independent community developers took over development and called it SeaMonkey which was the codename for the suite earlier.

2) advantages/disadvantages against Firefox 1.5.0.7

SeaMonkey is a browser suite which includer a browser, mail client and other things while Firefox is just a browser. There are some differences in user interface between them. The underlying codebase is very similar.
