I think that's the plan for FC7. The Powers That Be wanted something
simple for FC6 well after feature freeze and with only a week or so
until planned release.

Okay, well the requirement of something that works post feature freeze
makes sense I suppose. How about putting a link on the default Fedora
page to ask to register?

Just the what seems to be the suggested method doesn't seem _that_ simple.
