Is there a yum repository for <http://gmail-notify.sourceforge.net/>?

Never tried to make it appear on the e17 shelf.

It doesn't really need to show up in a tray! The *new mail popup
alert*  will just appear on your screen once you get a new email. ;)
This is all I require.

I would bet that it might show up in engage.

You might want to try the gmail notifier (which I used previously!) also:
http://gmail-notify.sourceforge.net/

But if you use Fedora Core 5 and above, you're out of luck on that
one. For some unknown reasons, it only works for FC4 and below!
