You are in dire need of updates.

Try a virtual terminal (Ctl-Alt-F1..F6 and then log in, Alt-F7 to get back
to X), or try booting to runlevel 3 and do it without X running.

Note that FC3 is maintained by the Fedora Legacy Project, and that you will
need to update your repo files in /etc/yum/repos.d.  Fixing that might make
the problem go away.
