If you actually followed those instructions, you've not deleted
anything. You've changed how things were going to work during this
session, but not the files on the disc that line comes from. Just
reboot the computer, and have another go at modifying the line.
On the other hand, if you've not done as it said, and actually edited
the grub.conf file, you can hand type in what's supposed to be there.
My grub.conf file has the following two entries in it (the original
kernel and the recent update), you could try copying from it:
title Fedora Core (2.6.17-1.2187_FC5)
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.17-1.2187_FC5 ro root=LABEL=/
initrd /initrd-2.6.17-1.2187_FC5.img
title Fedora Core (2.6.15-1.2054_FC5)
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.15-1.2054_FC5 ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb quiet
initrd /initrd-2.6.15-1.2054_FC5.img
