Re: LDAP Client

I´ve been installed a server SAMBA(PDC)+LDAP.
When a change the password by Windows XP the new password works at my station Wndows and in the server LDAP.
But in a client Linux only works the old password. I´m imagine that exist a cache in client Linux that use this old password for validate the user.

For example:

1.  client = john
     password =  123456

  First conection on Windows Xp using password = 123456   ===> result OK
  First conection on server LDAP linux using password = 123456  ===> result OK
  First conection on client Linux Fedora using password = 123456 ==> result OK

Change password by Windows Xp  ==== new password = abc

Second connection on Windows Xp using password = abc ===> result OK
Second connection on Server LDAP Linux using password = abc ==> result OK
Second connection on client Linux Fedora 5 using password = abc ==> Result NOK
Secont connection on client Linux Fedora 5 using password = 123456 ===> result OK

Thanks

Here's my guess. Is the user password you are using the same in LDAP as
in /etc/passwd on the server? It sounds like ssh isn't using LDAP for
authentication, it's only using /etc/passwd.
