Thanks for the suggestion, Paul.

Unfortunately, the 'Panel icons' setting is greyed out and can't be
changed. :-(  The other icons (Desktop, toolbar, etc.) can be
changed; it's just the Panel ones which can't.

Aren't panel icons automatically resized according to the size of the panel?
