FC5 samba smbpasswd not working

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

We have samba-3.0.14a running on FreeBSD. We recently upgraded our Linux clients from FC2 to FC5, and now smbpasswd does not work. Here's the error we see:

"cli_pipe_validate_current_pdu: RPC fault code NT code 0x1c010002 received from remote machine machinename pipe \samr fnum 0x70f3! machine machinename rejected the password change: Error was : NT code 0x1c010002.
Failed to change password for user"

Password changes were working from our FC2 clients, and still work from our Redhat 9 client.

Anyone know what's going on?
