Please help with tv card problem

I have a Hauppauge WInTV FM card. It has worked perfectly from first
install of FC5 up till the last 2.6.16 kernel. Not a single 2.6.17
kernel works properly with it. I get video, but no sound, and no
errors. I have filed two bug reports so far. This is the second,
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=206829.

My last yum update cause my nvidia drivers for my working kernel to
become broken, no idea why. So now I am in the older kernel, with no
nvidia drivers, and a very slow gui as a result.

Please help me return my FC5 install to a useable status.

Thank you.
