Under 5 seconds for me too.  Then I immediately cleared Mozilla's cache
and timed how long <www.adobe.com>  took to render:  48 seconds.

How do I double-check DNS?  /etc/resolv.conf is pointed at our lab's
DNS server.  If the "wget" worked, would that not mean all is well
there?
