Hello,
Has anybody here successfully installed IBM DB2 on Fedora Core 5 ? I receive the following error when I run the ./db2setup command:
There has been an attempt to install a DB2 install image
supported for the kernel level 2.4.x that does not
match the current kernel level 2.6 on which DB2
is being installed.
User Response:
Install DB2 using the DB2 install image that corresponds
with the current kernel level 2.6.
Please check the following IBM web site for platforms and
kernel level officially supported by IBM DB2 Universal
Database for Linux:
http://www.ibm.com/software/data/db2/linux/validate/
[root@localhost pe]# LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5
[root@localhost pe]# ./db2setup

I have looked at the link stated above and unfortunately FC5 is NOT listed, but FC4 is....however, I have heard of people bypassing this by using the following command:
# export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5
However, this also did not work for me.
Any help would be appreciated,
