byers@bootp dsys]$ gs parted.pdf
ESP Ghostscript 815.02 (2006-04-19)

[byers@bootp dsys]$

otoh, both
kghostview and xpdf display fine

xpdf also has the facility on pdf files to select arbitrary size rectangular regions
and copy them into a textfile
which makes it very handy for doing selective copying on multicolumn pdf files

any advice on on gs, ghostscript?
Jack
