Core 5 & Samba

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi all,

I have a Core 5 installation with a VMWare session running Windows which accesses shared filesystems using Samba. Until yesterday, when I did a yum update, I could log into windows without a problem. Now, however, I get these messages:

In the samba log:

[2006/09/12 08:06:42, 2] auth/auth.c:check_ntlm_password(319)
check_ntlm_password:  Authentication for user [markg] -> [markg] FAILED with error NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_USER

Nothing appears in /var/log/messages.

Does anyone have any ideas why this change happened? I can send my smb.conf if it's helpful but I didn't want to make this mail too big.

Thanks,
Mark
