In reading a thread here

your monitor supports "1280x1024".

So edit that part here's a chunk from the Section
"Screen"

Note*:  If you copy/paste you might not get a working
xconf, so try with your own values and subsitute in
the Modes Section where 800x600 is located and include
the two suggested "1280x1024" "1024x768" before
"800x600"
