If Konqueror is able to browse while Firefox is not, then that seems to indicate that something is wrong with Firefox -- but I don't think that is the case. Can you give us some information: 1. What version is your Firefox? 2. When you say that Firefox cannot browse, do you get a timeout, or does it crash, or does it show a 404 error page. If it timesout, then you will see a default page with a grey box in the center that says "unable to reach <URL>" or something like that. 3. Can you empty the Konqueror cache and the Firefox cache and try going to the same URL at the same time?
