I recently moved my Fedora 5 system to a new, larger disk, and for some reason I am no longer getting any shorewall log messages. As far as I can see from /etc/shorewall/policy messages about DROPped packets should be sent to /var/log/messages. But there don't seem to be any shorewall messages there any more. Eg I used to get messages like Aug 27 04:34:00 alfred kernel: Shorewall:net2all:DROP:IN=ppp0 OUT= MAC= SRC=87.44.233.160 DST=86.43.71.228 LEN=515 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=54 ID=8919 PROTO=UDP SPT=31206 DPT=1026 LEN=495 Aug 27 04:42:04 alfred kernel: Shorewall:net2all:DROP:IN=ppp0 OUT= MAC= SRC=115.6.7.108 DST=86.43.71.228 LEN=522 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=54 ID=27524 PROTO=UDP SPT=31206 DPT=1026 LEN=502 but I don't seem to be getting any since my change of disk. I only get messages like Sep 4 17:01:51 alfred tim: Shorewall restarted [I should admit that I re-installed FC-5 on the new disk, and may have changed some of the shorewall config files.] Any suggestions or advice gratefully received. -- Timothy Murphy e-mail (<80k only): tim /at/ birdsnest.maths.tcd.ie tel: +353-86-2336090, +353-1-2842366 s-mail: School of Mathematics, Trinity College, Dublin 2, Ireland -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list
