Try installing wifi-radar - I believe it's in extras. I haven't tried this in 
Fedora, yet, but it works great on my MEPIS installation on my laptop with 
broadcom 4306 - it's the first tool I've found to work on my laptop. 
Sometimes, I have to use it in conjunction with Kwifimanager, which is also 
available from extras.
