I believe the vmware-config.pl script is the one responsible for creating said .desktop files. The second question of that script asks where to install the desktop files and the default on my system is /usr/share/applications which I kept, and I have both icons. Did you, by any chance, abort a subsequent running of vmware-config.pl? Let it run through and the icons should be back.... --Rob
This is a case of YMMV. In my case, after I did an "rpm -Uvh" with the 5.5.2 rpm package vmware-config.pl failed due to a permissions problem in /tmp/vmware-config0/. Everything went fine after I extracted the .gz tarball, ran vmware-install.sh, and then vmware-config.pl. -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list
