What is the easiest way from command line to set or change the IP address of a linux box (FC4)?
One-off: ifconfig eth0 123.123.123.123 netmask 255.255.255.0 The Redhat Way so it will survive reboots: edit (it's a text file) /etc/sysconfig/networking/devices/ifcfg-eth0 then ifdown eth0 ; ifup eth0 to get the new settings -Andy
