Azeem when you say LAN clients, do you mean wireless LAN or wired LAN? Try
to elaborate more on your existing infrastructure. Do you have a client /
server architecture?
Well if you* just have a LAN consisting of workstations connected to a dumb
switch*, there is no AAA possible. We have to know precisely what you have
and what you want exactly to give you suggestions. May be you are looking
for 802.1x for port based Network Access control? This is available on some
new AP and even switches.

Best Rgds and good luck

i have a simple wired Ethernet LAN. its connected with BayLan Switches which are not configurable in any way. these switches only provide switching, nothing else.
i run an internet service on this LAN.
i want that my LAN clients when trying to access internet must be first authenticated, then authorized for services (like smtp, http, irc, yahoo etc) and lastly they are accounted for what resources they have consumed. the problem is simply i dont have configurable 802.1x enabled switches so that i can setup a freeRADIUS server
what else i can do
