Hi,

how soon is an update to gtk for fedora likely to come along given
that gtk 2.10 has been releaswed and we are still running 2.8?

As usual, with the next version. GTK 2.10 is part of the Gnome 2.16 desktop which is in the current FC6 test release. Unless there's some feature you absolutely need right now there's no need to hurry. Besides, backporting GTK 2.10 to Gnome 2.14 would create a desktop configuration using components that are never meant to be (or tested) together.

is there a 2.9 repo for fedora?

You can download FC6 test2. If you encounter any bugs please make sure they're reported.
