Hi

I think I've found the answer. I read I need to put the name
defaultdocdir in my rpmrc file. However when I run my rpmbuild I keep
getting

error: bad option 'defaultdocdir' at /root/.rpmrc:1

Any ideas how to fix this?

1. Don't develop and build RPMs as root; it's easy to accidentally trash your system that way.

2. You can define macros in ~/.rpmmacros
