Hi folks, FC5_64 Previously whenever a pendrive was plugged in, it can be detected and mounted automatically. Starting Konqueror, files can be retrieved but can't be saved on the pendrive. Unless umount the pendrive and remount it on Konsole as root, then files can be retrieved and saved on it on Konqueror (started as root). I need to save files on pendrive then I took following steps; edited /etc/sudoers on kedit adding following line on it; satimis ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: mount /dev/sda1 /media/usb and created # mkdir /media/usb On running; $ sudo mount /dev/sda1 /media/usb A warning popup. Unfortunately I haven't taken it down. From that time onwards pendrives plugged in can't detected and mounted automatically anymore, except the pendrive used for above test. On Knosole # fdisk -l can't detect the pendrive but can detect the pendrive used for test. # fdisk -l .... ..... Disk /dev/sdb: 127 MB, 127139840 bytes 4 heads, 61 sectors/track, 1017 cylinders Units = cylinders of 244 * 512 = 124928 bytes Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sdb1 1 1017 124043+ 83 Linux * end * This pendrive has only a single partition using the complete storage space, 128M. On booting the abovementioned warning scrolled on screen but I can't take it down because moving too swiftly. I tried reading /var/log/bootlog, message, etc. and could not discover it. Pleae advise which file holds the scrolling message at booting and how to fix the problem. TIA B.R.
