Kernel BUG, 2.6.16 and higher[Adaptec 29320]

I posted a BUG notification on lkml and just thought I would throw it
over here as well.

Between 2.6.15 and 2.6.16 there was quite a bit of work to the aic79xx
driver which seems to have inflicted a nasty bug when an external array
is powered on.

Scenario:

1. System running 2.6.16 or higher is up and running with an external
SCSI array attached in a powered off state.

2. Power up the array.

3. Linux system locks up hard with the following BUG displayed on the
console:

scsi0: Someone reset channel A
BUG: soft lockup detected on CPU#0!

I have forwarded this information to the folks who posted the last
changes to the driver in 2.6.16

If anyone else has the time/inclination/hardware, can they verify this
for me?
