On FC-5, latest version of ssh, everything was fine when I was only
using ssh to connect from one private IP address to another. Now that
I've started using it via the internet, however, it takes a long time
(20+ seconds) to login - this is the time between entering my password
and being granted access. Is there a switch that I can flip to change
this behavior?

Is DNS working properly and quickly on the system?

I switched off GSSAPIAuthentication, to no avail - and oddly enough I'm connecting to the machine in question via USER@IPADDR, so I don't think DSN would be implicated, would it?
