Hi

I've just installed enlightenment now I'd like to start it when I
startx. COuld someone please tell me what files to edit. Also I'd like
to start it in a second x session so with the command line like
"startx -- :2" how can I specify the enlightenment window manager with
this command?

Thanks in advance
Dan

Trying to recall the steps needed from way back. I can only recall the basics.
You need to add enlightenment to your sessions.
You need to stop metacity.
You need to save the gnome session.

The last time that I used enlightenment for a replacement window manager was back for FC2 or FC3. There might be some info in the earlier archives.

Just for info, there is a new window manager called compiz which is in development. I believe it has 3D goodies and can replace metacity for a WM.
