The only recent reports of this I've seen have been from users of the
nvidia binary module.  Is this the case here too ?
The reports did seem to tail off, so it's possible they fixed something
in their newer versions.

May be related to the same problem. Something that should happen
in a split-second took an extraordinary time to complete, so the
kernel complained.
