I performed the test by using cp. (cp -a /backup/temp.tgz smbclient D:\winxp box:)
Linux: hda = PATA 100 80GB (IBM)
Linux: hdb = PATA 133 160GB (SEAGATE)
WinXP: C: = PATA 100 160GB (WD)
WinXP: D: = SATA 150 200GB (MAXTOR)
The only other protocol to try would be FTP or SFTP. I will try this also.
