Hi. My Fedora Core 2 server restarted suddenly on Jul 17, and I don't know the reason. Within '/var/log/acpid' file, I found this: ---------------- [Wed Jun 28 21:20:33 2006] 1 rule loaded [Wed Jun 28 21:38:00 2006] exiting [Wed Jun 28 21:55:36 2006] starting up [Wed Jun 28 21:55:36 2006] 1 rule loaded [Wed Jun 28 22:01:58 2006] exiting [Wed Jun 28 22:06:46 2006] starting up [Wed Jun 28 22:06:46 2006] 1 rule loaded [Sat Jul 17 05:13:16 2006] starting up [Sat Jul 17 05:13:16 2006] 1 rule loaded [Sat Jul 17 05:23:06 2006] starting up [Sat Jul 17 05:23:06 2006] 1 rule loaded --------------- This is very odd, since there are 2-5 lines per day, but no one from Jun 28 to Jul 17. Could be this the reason of the shutdown? Jul 17 05:13:14 pc02 syslog: klogd startup succeeded ----------- There are no errors before the 'restart'. Any similar experience?
