You could use rsync instead.  But, if you're sticking with cp:

cp --reply=yes /home/deep /home/deepak

"man cp " is your friend.  Ask him/her/it.

But man cannot admit when he's lost. Maybe the man utility should be
renamed "woman" who can admit she's lost. Then it might see more use.
