I am running FC4 on x86_64. The last "yum update" installed kernel-2.6.17-1.2142_FC4. During bootup, I see lots of messages like these (screen after screen, each line with different numbers): interface 'dev12345' not found. Then, I see: eth0: error fetching interface information: Device not found. eth1: error fetching interface information: Device not found. And, of course, neither eth0 or eth1 is working. Looking at my /var/log/messages afterwards, I see these entries: Jul 16 09:23:02 satyr kernel: DMI 2.3 present. Jul 16 09:23:03 satyr kernel: >>> ERROR: Invalid checksum [...] Jul 16 09:23:10 satyr kernel: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready Jul 16 09:23:10 satyr kernel: e1000: eth0: e1000_watchdog_task: NIC Link is Up 100 Mbps Full Duplex Jul 16 09:23:10 satyr kernel: e1000: eth0: e1000_watchdog_task: 10/100 speed: disabling TSO Jul 16 09:23:10 satyr kernel: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): eth0: link becomes ready Jul 16 09:23:10 satyr kernel: ifup-eth[15060]: segfault at 00007ffff4154700 rip 000000000041f751 rsp 00007ffff41546d0 error 6 Jul 16 09:23:10 satyr kernel: ifup-eth[15061]: segfault at 00007ffff4154720 rip 000000000041f751 rsp 00007ffff41546f0 error 6 Jul 16 09:23:10 satyr kernel: ifup-eth[2404]: segfault at 00007ffff4154f90 rip 00000034cb26b5e8 rsp 00007ffff4154f70 error 6 Has anyone seen this? I got the same from the 2.6.17-1.2141 kernels. ---Kayvan -- Kayvan A.
