Hi, I look for some kernel information, I found that pptp embedded as ip_conntrack_helper_pptp and ip_nat_helper_pptp into kernel 2.6.17 series, so now I don't need to patch kernel if I use 2.6.17, is it correct? And is Fedora 3 friendly with kernel 2.6.17? Thanks a lot, Zhou Zhen On 7/10/06, Zhen Zhou <zhouzhenzj@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:
Hi, all, Now I have some questions when I start to compile my fedora system: My config: Fedora 3, i386, Kernel: 2.6.11-1.35_FC3smp iptables: v1.2.11 My compile target: get a kernel could handle PPTP, l7-filter 1. Is this version iptables for feodra enable pptp function? if not, how could I patch it and compile it? 2. according to netfilter.org, it is said that pptp-conntrack-nat, which is my need? does NOT work with kernels > 2.6.10, so that mean I need to downgrade my core? 3. could I use the kernel source from kernel.org instead of from fedora? 4. could I compile l7-filter and iptables pptp-conntrack-nat as a module, not as a kernel core function? So that I could enable ot disable in runnning. 5. If 4 is true, how could I use DKMS-Dynamic Kernel Module Support to complie these module? 6. is my kernel epoll enable? how to know it? Any tips will be welcome, Zhou Zhen
