Here it says that doesn't know the IP address of host "sf"

Are you using NIS to export the hosts names? Or just using DNS?
What does it says the file /etc/auto.master?
Or the /etc/fstab (If you use the automount line overthere)

What does it says the command "host sf"?

And what happens if you try to mount that dir by using the "mount" command?
