Browsing works over UDP, not TCP. Your telnet tests don't show anything that suggests browsing shouldn't work. Try tcpdump or ethereal instead, to get a better idea of what's going on at the network level. If you see UDP packets being broadcast from the server, the clients aren't configured to accept browse packets. If you don't, the server isn't configured to send them. Tim. */
