Anyone?  If you have a Via Velocity Gigabit network interface and are
running a 2.6.16 or 2.6.17 kernel, could you please execute this command
and let me know if it reports 1000Mb/s?  

/sbin/ethtool eth0 | grep Speed

I'm trying to determine if I've got a driver or a hardware problem.
