Hi all,
I've installed dosbox-0.65-1 on my machine at home, but running it kills
the system, everything seems to hang and I have to reboot my box. I
can't find anything in the logs and SELinux is disabled by the way. Any
ideas ?
An older version of dosbox didn't do the trick. Maybe it's kernel
related ? Or a problem with SDL maybe ? Has anybody got dosbox working
with the latest kernel ?
Cheers,
Eric
I just yum installed dosbox on this updated fc5 system and tried it
twice, each time the computer "froze" completely and I had to kill power
at the UPS and reboot! I haven't needed dosbox in a couple of months
but I believe it works on an FC4 box here. I will be interested to hear
your solution to the problem.
It works fine with the 2.6.15-1.2054 kernel, so the problem is kernel
related. I will try to test some other kernels as well.

I am using the latest kernel:
uname -a Linux box1 2.6.16-1.2133_FC5 #1 Tue Jun 6
00:52:14 EDT 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
I'll try one of the others later ...
Bob
