HI guys, I’m trying to
configure either Thunderbird or Evolution to connect to our Exchange 2003 IMAP
server. I’ve been testing the Evolution Exchange connector, but we’re
finding it to be VERY unstable, it keeps bombing out when certain messages are
read, and sometimes on first boot, will not connect to the exchange server at
all. They can both view
the folders and emails on the server, so I guess IMAP is working. The problem is when
I try to send an email outside of our organisation I get an SMTP 553 5.1.8
error on the Exchange server, stating that the domain ‘cambridge0’
cannot be found. Our AD domain is
called CAMBRIDGE.NEWS and our NetBIOS domain name is cambridge0. The SMTP server is
setup to mask cambridge0 to our external DNS name, and this is working for all
Microsoft clients (surprise surprise) If I look at the
message source, sure enough there is: <Return-Path:
chrisbradford@cambridge0> What I was
wondering was whether anyone has come across this kind of problem before. Any help would be
greatly appreciated at this stage. Chris Bradford Systems
