If you're correctly jumpered on both drives in a Master/Slave scenario, then the positioning on the cable is irrelevant. More likely, you reseated something that was making a poor connection in the process of changing the drives around.
Yes, that does make sense. Although I did check many times the connections. I just now replaced the cable and put them back as the were, with the slave in the middle. So far so good, as far as the crashing goes. But I still hav eproblems using some applications, I will start a new thread with a new subject on that matter. Thanks.
