I don't run gnome or kde, just a plain old fvwm window manager with a few apps started automatically. I'm wondering if the "Print Scrn" button screenshot technique being discussed in another thread works without all the infrastructure of gnome or kde? I do see the disk light flicker for a bit when I press the Print Scrn button, but if it stores a screenshot somewhere I haven't been able to find it :-).
