Hi! I have two machines running FC5, both with DVD+-RW burners. Neither

fedora/k3b/linux-in-general just not like DVD+R?
Thanks!

Turned the speed down from 8x to 4x and I burn fine. Sometimes speed kills, K3B tried to write at 8.Xx sorry don't remember what the decimal value was but I think K3Bs calculation of the speed was a bit high.

Turning it down to 1x worked. It wasn't too bad, but k3b was saying that it was going 5x. Was it reading in CD-write speed or DVD-write speed. I know that 1x DVD is a LOT more that 1x CD.
