What is the intended use?  FC5 is ahead in terms of application
versions which is important for desktop apps.  Server apps
aren't changing that quickly unless you need a release version
of dovecot or postgres 8.x. and you probably don't want the
update churn on a server.

I'd look at Centos for a server, FC5 for a desktop and only drop
back to FC4 if your particular hardware has problems with FC5.
