Running FC5 on the Ferrari, and loving it.

Same here :)

Haven't really looked at power management stuff, since I always just shut down when not using the laptop, but everything else works -

I haven't succeeded in getting the suspend stuff to work so if you
investigate it and can make it work, please post it.

Yup - looking into it now, although we're probably looking to an upstream fix from kernel-dev.

including h/w accelerated OGL graphics (ATI X700), audio, Wi-Fi (madwifi), etc.

Is "madwifi" a typo? My 4005 came with a Broadcom bcm43xx WiFi chipset.

Yeah sorry - I mean ndiswrapper. I use madwifi on the P4 box.

Only caveat with 64bit OSen is no current support (for either Windows 64 or Linux 64) from Macromedia (flashplayer) nor Sun (Java ns-plugin).

They will eventually - they'll have to, the way things are going.

Yup, let's hope they won't take a year or two to see the light.

Beats me why they're being so slow. It'll hit them hard when 32bit becomes legacy and depreciated.
