Due to the oversight of not providing /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5 it
took me 2 days to move to FC4 from FC5. It is otherwise simple. I have
Thunderbird working now and I cp -a * all the stuff from my FC5
.thunderbird/ to the new home and all the messages and stuff came along.
I left FC5 because due to an unknown problem the application gmfsk
will not compile right or work on FC5. It works fine on FC4 and I made
RPM files for gmfsk and Xlog so I will be back in business soon after I
yum a couple of other files.
The yum of libstdc++.so.5 was a new thing for me. I have used yum
for many devel RPM's that I have needed, but never a single library. I
hope I have no hard parts left to enjoying my Linux again.
