after upgrade to FC4 its not working anymore. I got a link to this
site http://www.mcmaster.ca/uts/network/vpn/vpnclient_linux.htm which
seems to suggest that these two can work together with a reboot after
the install, but it did not work for me. Any help on this is
appreciated.

In addition to the comments already made, if you want to stay with the Cisco client, see if you can locate version 4.8.x.

4.8.x is required in order to work with the newer FC4 kernels.

There are some patches floating around, but if you can locate the above, it will be easier to maintain moving forward.
