I recently have scrapped a E4500 (half a rack with disk arrays) as an exchange for a much more powerfull AMD machine (few U). No floor space and enough free time for both, especially the first one. I mirror the Oracle OEL (on this new machine). I have asked people propagating this distribution about OEL on Sparc but got no answer. Weird - they want to have their own RHEL and they produce Sparc machines but cannot (do not want?) connect these two things together. The are also not interested in mirroring patches to their distribution. The same malaise seems to affect many other of their activities - Solaris, OpenOffice, customers support.
