Need help building updated version (1.0.0m) of OpenSSL for FC16

Hi.  Can someone please point me in the right direction on how to build an updated version (1.0.0m) of openssl for FC16?  I am looking to update a platform from the currently installed 1.0.0j version and having issues building an compatible versions.

I can easily download, configure, build, and test the 1.0.0m source package from openssl.org but doing the install is where I have an issue.  I can follow the openssl instructions and perform a “make install” but this does not update the repo database and does not clean up the previous version installed files.  The right solution would be to install an upgraded version of the openssl and openssl-dev packages.  I have created these but the files packaged are in different locations than the currently installed (1.0.0j) version.

I also downloaded and built packages from the 1.0.0j version and these packages don’t match what is installed by the 1.0.0j version on my FC16 system.  This leads me to believe that the spec file used to build the FC16 1.0.0j version is special/different for some reason.  Any advice/direction is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Daniel
