Is Julia something that can be added to official Fedora repositories?

The Julia documentation ( https://julialang.org/downloads/platform/ )
recommends a COPR repository:
https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/nalimilan/julia/

but maybe this is something that can be added.

It's already part of Fedora: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/julia

The question is why upstream recommends the maintainer's Copr instead.
