Hi Robotics SIG!

I'm very happy to announce that I have filed a review request for
Fawkes! Once this goes in another milestone for the Robotics LiveCD has
been accomplished. Looking forward to start integrating Fawkes, Player,
and Stage into a useful demo app.

Last weekend I was interviewed by Jonathan Nadeau for the "The Week in
Fedora" podcast. Topics were the Robotics SIG, Fedora on robots,
RoboCup, robot hardware and their relation to Fedora.

Should we have an IRC meeting around the middle of November to discuss
the next steps?

Hi,

Very cool to see you've finally got Fawkes packaged and submitted.  It looks like you've already got a reviewer too!  I really like the modular framework you've got set up, I'd love to do that with Player when I get spare time (read: never).  But I digress..  I'm very interested hashing out the specifics of a demo program, I've got some Player/Stage ideas but Fawkes can play into things too now.

I was able to give the podcast a listen, very good stuff.  I wonder how many subscribers this podcast has, it'd be nice if we got some more interest from people that stumble across it.

I'm good for a meeting in the next few weeks.  After 5:30PM EDT is the best time for me (also a PA resident,) but I'm flexible.  I've gone ahead and update the SIG wiki page with current package review status, and some ideas for a meeting agenda.  We can sort out some of our ideas in that agenda leading up to the meeting.

Rich
